There is not much known about Bee Freeman a sexy actress from the late 20s however, she was known as the “Sepia Mae West.”
Bee had been a chorus line dancer on Broadway doing shows with Josephine Baker. She appeared in the movies, Chicago After Midnight in 1928, Murder in Harlem and Temptation both released in 1935, and Underworld in 1937. Bee graced the big screen with plenty of sex appeal by playing the femme fatale and cigarette-smoking seductress.
During this time, Bee was one of the very few black sex symbols in the movies.
